- Litan reminisces about his days when he formed Segoma and this is what he has to say about starting a business, "One of the cool things about diving into a business that you know nothing about is that you don't have any boundaries. "
- Litan stated, "There is nothing rational about entrepreneurship. Everything is against you; chances are you are going to fail." However, the best entrepreneur is not defined by his failures but by his ways to overcome the failure. According to Litan, navigating difficult situations is what matters for being a great entrepreneur.
- With the age of technological progress, it is easier than ever to launch startups/ businesses with minimal experience and financial resources. However, that does not mean they should. There are numerous factors that can damage a fledgling business and ruin a pre-existing relationship between friends, co-founders, or family members. Litan mentions, "One of the main reasons start-ups/businesses fail is because best friends become enemies.".
